DIY Striped Shirt

]

I was wanting a new striped shirt...but I couldn't find just the right one...so I made my own. All you need to make your own is a shirt, painters tape, and paint. Place the tape where you want the stripes and paint...it's so easy and so much fun! I am planning on making one in pink next!
This morning I went and picked out my new glasses! I am so excited for them to come in! I have had the glasses I have now for years! I am going to head out to dinner tonight and then tomorrow I am going tailgating. They are supposed to come in later this week! Now I am going to head out to dinner with some friends! I am looking forward to a packed weekend! I hope that you all have a great weekend as well!

Cardigans & Apple Cider

This morning I awoke to find that the temperatures had dropped and there was a slow drizzle coming down on my window. It feels like fall has really arrived! I was finally able to pull out my cardigans and loafers for class this morning! I felt super cozy even though the weather was cooler. When I came home I slipped into some fleece pants and warmed up some apple cider. It was such a great day! Now I'm off to finish some homework and watch the rain come down.

My Shiny New Terrarium

Say hello to my new shiny terrarium! I was out shopping and saw a bag of moss and that was all I needed to get my ideas rolling! I have wanted to make a terrarium for a long time and I am so glad that I finally did! It was so much fun! This was made with fake moss, but I am hoping to make some with real plants soon! I bought some new containers and props tonight so that I can get working on them very soon! This little lovely is starting to get lonely on my desk!

DIY Days

Hello! I have been super busy with school lately, but it has been so nice to get back into a routine. I finished up a couple of projects right before school started that I haven't had a chance to share yet! A few of them are in this outfit! With the exception of my shoes and ring I made everything that I am wearing in this outfit. I had so much fun making then and it was so much fun to wear them as well! They made for a pretty great day as well considering that my afternoon class was cancelled! I am hoping to share a few of the projects in the next few days! I hope that you all have a great weekend! I am getting ready to enjoy my labor day weekend and I hope that you do as well!

Saturday Wedding & DIY Projects

I spent my day yesterday at my good friends wedding, then came home and spent my evening crafting. I had such a great day. This was my first time wearing this dress and bag, which I just purchased at a sale last week. I love the embellishments on the dress and the bag! I also tried an updo to complete the look. I was such a beautiful wedding and I am so happy for them!
In the evening I got into a serious crafting spree. My projects have definitely been taking a back seat since I started my job so it was great to get back to doing what I love. I made multiple things including a feather hair accessory and a shirt to include in my back to class wardrobe. I am looking forward to wearing them and sharing them with you!

Hocking Hills State Park

I spent this past week on a much needed camping trip. It was so great to just slow down and enjoy. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking. There is nothing like coming into a clearing a seeing a waterfall cascading before you! We were able to go on multiple hikes, ride my new bike Sylvia(more on that later), relax by the fire, and enjoy a bit of antique shopping, and much more. I had such a great time!

There is so much history in this area. For instance, there have been hundreds of artifacts taken from the area, and Native Americans used to dwell in these caves. In the 1800's they were used as gathering places due to the sound quality that was useful for large crowds. Also, one cave is named after an old man who used to dwell in the caves, until he was killed trying to break the ice with his gun during a cold winter. There is a museum on site which was quite interesting.

I have many more photos to share with you, including the yummy muffins that I baked for the trip, as well as the goodies that I picked up in the local gift shops and antique mall! I had an amazing time but it is so good to be back! I have about 1200 unread posts waiting for me on bloglovin so that is what I will be doing with my day!
It was such a great week! I have been going to this park for years and if you are ever in the area I could not recommend it more! I hope that you enjoy the photos that I've shared of this lovely park!

Spontaneous Camping Trip

Hello everyone! I hope that you have all had an enjoyable week! My family and I decided to take a last minute camping trip to Kentucky. We were all off of work for a few days and decided to make the most of it. I had such a good time. I took many a bike rides, played tennis, ate s'mores, and dangled my feet in the lake as I watched the fish swim below. I had such a great time.

I was planning on blogging while I was there, but was to cheap to pay for the wireless internet at the campground. Only on my last night there did I succumb and pay for the internet, and that was only because it was raining. I had about a thousand unread posts on bloglovin, which I am currently making my way through at this minute. I didn't really take too many photos, but I thought that this photo that I happened upon over at Little Chief Honeybee was an excellent companion to my campfire tale. This chart is really going to come in handy this week.....
