I Saw It...I Wanted It...I Made My Own

This is my newest sewing project. I am so extremely excited about it. I have been working on so many sewing projects lately. It seems like anytime I am not at work I am usually making something or buying supplies to make something. I am going to have a whole new wardrobe by the time fall rolls around. Anyways, back to my dress. I was inspired to make this the moment I saw this dress from Nanette Lepore. I loved the colors and textures of this dress so I decided that I could sew up something like it. I have had the fabric for forever, but I was nervous about starting it since I had never made a dress from scratch before. I am so happy with how it turned out!

Spring Photo Shoot

Last week I put together this photo shoot as a project for my internship. The owner of the shop where I work was so great and let me take these outside the shop using some of the clothes and accessories that were in the shop. It was so much fun. I hope that I get to do so many more of these in the future. I took so many more pictures than this but these were a few of my favorites. This photo shoot was all about spring. I loved every single piece that I used and I love how it turned out! I hope that you enjoy them as well!

Wearable Art Project

Hello! I just thought that I would introduce you to what has consumed my life for the past two weeks. For one of my classes, I had to complete a wearable art project. Basically the only requirement was to not use fabric, so I chose to make my dress out of rubber gloves. I was inspired by the flapper style dress of the twenties. It took forever, but it is finally done and I can get back to posting regularly. I am hoping to post some photos of me wearing the dress later!

Motif Craft Contributor
