DIY Clay Bead Necklace with Made New Co

I have mentioned before how I have a friend who is helping me with the media for Made New, and she had an idea recently that we should do some DIY videos.  I was totally on board with the idea, except that it is totally out of my comfort zone, and honestly I also hate the sound of my voice on any recording.  It helped that she would be doing the editing.  We made the tutorial for the clay bead necklaces that we have been making in class.  They are so much fun to make.  If you want to buy one from one of the women from our classes, you can check out our Etsy page which is in the link in the sidebar.  However, I would love to see that necklaces and bracelets that you all come up with.  Please share them on insta or twitter if you make them! Floral Headband: DIY

For a while now I have been wanting a floral headband...but never could find the right one. Then, yesterday, my mom brought me a box of flowers that she bought at a garage sale for two dollars. The first thing that popped into my mind was to make a floral headband. It was actually quite easy. Also, I was rather impressed with the results. It is such a fun accessory.

All you need is a headband(you can use a thick one, but I prefer thin) and bunches of flowers. I did one with small flowers and one with big. I only used about three bunches of the bigger flowers, but almost double that with the smaller ones.

When everything is ready, simply wrap the wire stem around the headband. Starting at the top and working your way down on both sides.As a tip, make sure that the ends are on top of the headband and tucked under the flowers, otherwise wearing the headband will become quite painful. Using glue is optional, I did not find it necessary.

Observe your work and enjoy the finished product!
