Just Checking In.....

Two more weeks and I will officially be out of school for the summer!!! The only thing that stands between me hours of shopping and crafting is finals..which is making for a very busy Kayla!! Sorry about my complete lack of posting....it's been a great couple of weeks...but also busy ones. I am still working on some school stuff...such as finals and registering for next semester. As well as going to a concert, a women's conference, and some family events. It's been great! Also, I have some great stuff coming up...this weekend I am going to a weekend conference with my mom and I am going to have a booth at a local artists bazaar. The conference is in Columbus, OH....which means time for some excellent shopping with my mom. Also, this is the first time that my web store has officially been set up at an actual craft show...so I for one am quite thrilled. Also, perhaps the greatest thing about this coming weekend....my birthday!!!! Which is going to make for one excellent weekend!!

There are no pictures because my camera, up until today, has been broken!!! This is also why there have been no pictures in a while...but hopefully I can get working on that soon!!!

I am going to start working on posting every day, which was the original plan when I started this blog. Once things slow down again I will be posting much more regularly. Thanks for putting up with me and thanks for reading!!

Friends...Free Coffee....And A Day Of Shopping

Today was a great day...it was filled with friends and plenty of good times. I did indeed get to go shopping today, and found one dress that I loved...and it was on sale, which is always a plus. I will most likely wear it tomorrow, because I am the type of gal that can't wait to get into something after I buy it.So hopefully you get to see it soon. It was a lot of fun, and as I mentioned in the title...I was finally able to try coffee.

I only had one class today because the rest got cancelled...so I got to sleep in.Then after class I headed to the mall to do some serious shopping with my friend Janessa(who is starting her own blog soon). Then we headed home with our spoils to catch Project Runway and scope out some good vintage shops to check out when we go out of town this summer. All in all it was a great day.

Also, school is finally winding down for the summer and I am so excited. However, this also means time for finals week and registering for classes, which is going to make for a very busy few weeks. Also, I am currently in debate of changing my major. I am currently in education, but with different experiences throughout the last few years, I am currently giving serious consideration to fashion merchandising. Hopefully I can make my decision soon and get on with my summer.

Tomorrow, another friend of mine and I are heading out to a concert...so I'm pretty excited. Maybe some pics from there as well. Thanks for reading about my exciting day! Hopefully I'll be back tomorrow to share some photos of my trip.

On The Hunt

Well Hello!!! Today, as I was 'working on my homework', I was thinking about what particualar items I am hoping to find for the this summer. I am going shopping tommorrow, and hopefully some this weekend, and I am hoping to find a few of the items on my wishlist. I was just going to list them...but I thought some visual aid might be nice...so I created a set on Polyvore. One of the main things that I am wanting is a denim dress...which really takes my back to my elemantary school days. Especially with that hair bow and sandals that I included as well. I feel like it would be a really fun outfit. I am also wanting floral dresses, hats, and some trouser shorts among other things. I am hoping to head to the thrift store to hunt for a few similar items..considering I would never pay for a few of those things. I really hope that my hunt will supply a denim dress. Well that's my spring wishlist thus far...thanks for letting me share. Hopefully me and my fellow hunter can snap some outfit pics while we are out on the hunt tommorrow....HAPPY HUNTING!!!!

Easter Weekend

I'm baaa-ack!! Don't worry all, I'm not dead, just oober busy!!! It was such a great easter weekend and I had a great time spending the weekend relaxing and spending time with my family!! I would share more photos of my weekend, but those will have to come later since that camera is with my mom!!! However, I can hopefully get those pictures up soon!!!

This weekend I went on a stay-cation with some family, did some shopping, and spent my easter morning going to church and going to each family get-togethers. It was a whirlwind weekend, but I had so much fun!! The weather today was fantastic, so I decided to wear a lighter skirt and t-shirt. Also, my outfit today was a bit-nautical inspired....I just couldn't deny the blue stripes their nautical counterparts!!! All in all it was a great day and a great weekend.

I was so happy to wake up easter morning to find these little lovies just waiting for me. I am loving the book on vintage shopping. I am not even finished yet, but I am already recommending it....it's a great read if you are interested!!
